The challenges at LESSology are here to challenge your creativity and interpretation of a theme. Let's see how design team member Lizzy Hill interpreted LESSology Challenge #36: Window display.

Hey there! Lizzy here to share my 'window' LO...I took the idea rather literally....

I don't really scrap or chat about my brother much. He's just 'there'...these photos of him were taken at my son's wedding. My journaling sort of says what I was thinking:

These are the only 2 nephews he has - no nieces - so he's been quite close to both my boys.
Below is my journaling pocket. The buttons are my recycled item, as is the Studio Calico packaging....seems 'fitting' that I got sent the buttons from fellow team member Mitra, LOL!!!

A window within a window by using this frame, above!!!

Embossed vellum layers...YUM!!! And the little 'splots' are Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze...

I also used some of the button PACKAGING as part of my title!!! Seemed to fit:):)
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with this challenge ~ it's a BEAUTY!!!
Happy Scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Come play along with LESSology Challenge #36: Window display! :)

LESSology Challenge #36: Creative inspiration of Mitra Pratt

Hello there! Are you working hard on your entries for LESSology Challenge #36: Window display? Today's creative inspiration comes from design team member Mitra Pratt.

This little alarm clock alteration required power tools! It started off life as a kitchen timer at the second hand store and was so cute and adorable, I had to bring it home!

Once I started taking it apart, I realized I was going to need HELP to get it opened up so I could alter the inside. You can see here, it's all one piece of metal.

THE MAN took an angle grinder and carefully cut open the front. He then used a dremel and a sanding tool to sand down the rough edges.

I then spray painted the bell & handle gold and used a green patina on the rest of it. More gold followed over the patina to give is a slight spatter effect.

Here you can also see that the front will open like a window! I carefully wired it on under the flowers so you could peek inside!

The little window itself is a Prima resin and had many coats of purple inks & glitter. I wanted a strong contrast and also something that was a dreamy color!

Inside I used embossed copper and a little compass as a symbol for guiding someone to find their courage!

Won't you play along with us here at LESSology for our Window Display challenge!

LESSology Challenge #36: Creative inspiration of Julie Tucker-Wolek

Have you been brainstorming about your entries for LESSology Challenge #36: Window display? Let's check out how design team member Julie Tucker-Wolek interpreted the challenge.

Hi everyone! Julie here with you today to share my take on this month's challenge - Window Display :)

Ok -- I am not gonna lie -- I couldn't think of a way to make a window :)  So instead, I used a quote about a window *wink*

I went to a yard/garage sale a few weeks ago, and I found some antique books - well in the mix of me buying the books, I ended up with an extra cover --

So I decided to take the book cover and turn it into a wall hanging :)

I found this quote - “A house without books is like room without windows” and wanted to use this for my wall hanging - as in my house, my daughter and I are AVID readers.

I used Bo Bunny's "The Avenue" collection on my wall hanging and one of the embellishments the collection comes with a door/window that I used as my background and then added the quote :)

Can't wait to see what you create for this challenge ~~ Julie

LESSology Challenge #36: Creative inspiration of Kirsty Vittetoe and Yvonne Yam

 photo Challenge-36-Window-display-design-team-projects_zpsd0e69bce.jpg

Are you ready for the first round of inspiration by the design team for LESSology Challenge #36: Window display? Let's see what design team members Kirsty Vittetoe and Yvonne Yam have in store for us. :)

Kirsty Vittetoe

My friend Jean visited me from Taiwan, and she brought some Chinese Tea with this cute little box.

I thought I can make used of that green so I go with a Christmas theme, I know it is only May, but it is always good to start early right?

tiny pieces of chipboard scraps I never throw away are put into good used for the window

this is going to be a accordion mini album, I leave it blank for now because I want the photo to be more recent (closer to Christmas time)

this is what is going to look like after I decide on the photos to used later

 Come on and join us

Hello there! It's Yvonne to share with you my project - an altered frame made into a "window display"! :)

I started off with an old black frame. Then I used some vintage lace as "curtains".

Then I embellished with pearls, blooms and leaves. Love the shiny mirror light bulb from a car headlight.:)

I added some 3M velcros to the back of the frame so I can create a little window display on my wall!
